In this chapter we consider the conversion of the local time axis to a common time axis. This is the second step in the formation of a common representational format. To keep the discussion focused we shall concentrate on the methods based on dynamic time warping (DTW) including soft-DTW, drop-DTW and shape-DTW. We also consider the alignment of time series of different dimensionality (canonical time warping) and the alignment of multiple time series (dynamic barycenter average).

摘要

In this chapter we consider the conversion of the local time axis to a common time axis. This is the second step in the formation of a common representational format. To keep the discussion focused we shall concentrate on the methods based on dynamic time warping (DTW) including soft-DTW, drop-DTW and shape-DTW. We also consider the alignment of time series of different dimensionality (canonical time warping) and the alignment of multiple time series (dynamic barycenter average).
