The constructional implementation of the basic load-bearing and protective functions as described in Volume 1 as well as associated constructional and building-physics-related questions will now be discussed in more detail. For this purpose, various alternative constructional build-ups of envelopes are analysed. The functions are fulfilled by these in the interaction of the individual components of the envelope construction.
