摘要

A reduction in the effort of the numerical solution of a linear system of equations can be achieved by an approximate solution. Corresponding methods are based on the equivalent representation of the system of equations as a fixed-point equation. The convergence of resulting iterative methods is examined in the context of Banach’s fixed-point theorem and using suitable structural conditions on the considered matrix.
