Continuous Reflection of One’s Idea of Leadership
摘要
This chapter emphasizes that effective leaders have a clear understanding of their idea of leadership, including their role mix, and communicate it well to their teams. Successful leadership hinges on alignment between the leader’s defined idea of leadership and how employees perceive it. To reflect their idea of leadership, managers can use various practical tools and often find reflection more productive when considering specific leadership situations. The reflection process can be done individually, with a coach, or in leadership workshops. Ultimately, becoming an effective leader involves gathering feedback, continuous reflection, and regularly adjusting one’s idea of leadership.
