This chapter presents the basic features of the so-called Generalized Beam Theory (GBT), introduced and formalized by R. Schardt at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany. The governing equations within the framework of conventional GBT are derived and the prerequisites for basic static and dynamic problems as well as for problems within the framework of second-order theory are created. The chapter concludes with an outlook on the treatment of anisotropic layered beam structures.

摘要

This chapter presents the basic features of the so-called Generalized Beam Theory (GBT), introduced and formalized by R. Schardt at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany. The governing equations within the framework of conventional GBT are derived and the prerequisites for basic static and dynamic problems as well as for problems within the framework of second-order theory are created. The chapter concludes with an outlook on the treatment of anisotropic layered beam structures.
