Buckling of Stiffened Laminates
摘要
This chapter deals with the buckling behaviour of thin stiffened laminated structures. First, the Ritz method is presented as a suitable analysis method with which such stiffened laminates can be treated, and a detailed discussion of the buckling behaviour of such structures is carried out. Lévy-type solutions for longitudinally and transversely stiffened laminates under compressive loading are presented as a further method. For longitudinally stiffened laminates, closed-form analysis solutions are also given and generic buckling curves are presented. Another situation of practical relevance is the laminate with a stiffened free edge under compressive loading, and both the Lévy solution and the minimum stiffness of the edge stiffeners are discussed. Finally, a closed-form analytical approach is introduced for the buckling behaviour of a longitudinally stiffened laminate under compressive loading, taking into account the plate-stiffener interaction, and the buckling behaviour of stiffened laminates under shear loading is investigated using the Ritz method. The chapter concludes with a consideration of the global buckling behaviour of stiffened laminates.
