Infant in Bed
摘要
At approximately 08:00 AM, a physician-staffed emergency medical service (EMS) unit is alerted with the keyword “confirmation of death in a child”; during the journey, the mission keyword is changed to “ongoing child resuscitation, telephone resuscitation”. The crew of the ambulance, which arrived about 4 minutes earlier, finds a lifeless six-week-old infant on the sofa in the living room, who is being treated by the father with chest compressions under telephone guidance from the EMS dispatch center. The infant is moved to the floor and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is continued with chest compressions and mask ventilation.
