Blue Tongue instead of Red Cheeks
摘要
On a Thursday morning, 7-year-old David arrives with his mother at the interdisciplinary emergency department of the children’s hospital. They bring a small bottle of “Rotbäckchen® Juice”. At this time of day, this is not particularly surprising, as the now 60-year-old classic juice is a delicious addition to breakfast. The catch, however, is that David’s tongue has been stuck in the bottle neck for about an hour. In an attempt to get the last drop of the coveted treat, his tongue had gone so far into the bottle neck and subsequently swelled up that there was now no turning back despite all home attempts.
