Alpine Pass Road
摘要
On a hot summer day, a helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) is alerted to a traffic accident; the location is on an Alpine pass road, which is particularly popular with motorcyclists in good weather. After about a 15-minute flight, the pilot can land quite close to the accident site (120 m / 393 feet distance) on a large meadow, as the accident site is practically at the pass summit and the terrain is already flat again. A winch operation is not necessary.
