Within the collaborative and creative TRIZ Open-Prompts Project – ccTOPP – the capabilities of generative AI for TRIZ based problem solving are investigated. The aim is to establish specific customized prompts for the majority of the TRIZ tools, that will be then freely available. In this article, we present the current status of our investigations on how to tailor generative AI prompts for the application of inventive principles. It shows that one has to carefully compose the priming prompt in order to increase the quality of prompting results. The project links TRIZ experts all over the world, thus contributes to the global TRIZ community. The authors are active members of the European TRIZ-Campus (ETC).
