Starting from the resource “space”, this chapter defines prototypical urban and landscape spaces. The necessity to minimize ecological footprints outside these spaces is made clear with the intra-muros- principle. A structuring principle in the energy-ecological urban transformation is the division into energy sectors and energy parties. Ecological cycles also need to be captured and optimized during urban transformation. The urban transformation can only succeed if the principle of the social city is integrated.
