Many leaders can work better and more effectively with some employees than with others. An important factor in this is the fit between the leader and the employee, the so-called Person Supervisor (PS) Fit. PS Fit measures the extent to which the leader and the employee are on the same wavelength and agree in terms of their characteristics, attitudes, and values. This chapter presents key research findings on PS Fit. Based on this, it is described what leaders can do to promote PS Fit and to reduce the negative effects of PS Misfit.
