Demographic change is altering the composition of the working population. Managers are therefore faced with the particular challenge of having to be more responsive to younger and older employees individually. At the same time, it is important to promote cooperation between young and old in the team as a whole. This chapter looks at the concept of age-differentiated leadership, which takes into account relevant changes over the working life span and at the same time offers starting points for the successful management of age-diverse teams. The problems and opportunities of age-diverse teamwork described in recent interview studies are bundled into concrete recommendations for action. In addition, two instruments are presented in more detail: The FAF-16 questionnaire and its short version FAF-8 as a diagnostic tool for the quality of age-differentiated leadership and a training course on the leadership of age-diverse teams.

摘要
