Stress Mindsets of Leaders
摘要
Some people perceive stressful situations as generally positive and a challenge they can grow from—others see them as generally negative and a threat they want to avoid. This attitude towards stress is referred to as the stress mindset. A person’s stress mindset has diverse effects on health, well-being, stress management, work performance, resignation (intentions), as well as leadership behaviors and is therefore relevant for operational contexts. In this chapter, it will be explained what the stress mindset actually is, what effects it has, and what you can specifically do to change your own stress mindset as well as that of your employees, in order to benefit from the positive effects of a healthy stress mindset.
