In addition to generally binding regulations for securing the common good, interest-driven interactions between competing individuals or parties present an additional potential for social influence attempts. In these latter situations, strategic thinking is also required and essential for the “right” or optimal planning of behavioral moves, as the counter-reactions of the other side can always influence the events and must be taken into account. The concepts of game theory have defined a number of conditions and developed solution models for this type of social or interpersonal conflicts.
