Introduction

Ruthless people get ahead! Thus, often found as “classics of psychology” are narcissistic, machiavellian, and/or psychopathic individuals in leadership or management positions, causing significant damage in these roles—financially as well as on a psychological level among colleagues and employees. The currently largest worldwide study shows that narcissism is much more prevalent in the younger generation than in other generations. For this reason, companies should already be considering how to make their personnel selection, leadership, and development of employees future-proof.
