Sufficient orientation in the imaging of the conjunctiva and sclera is usually provided by a simple overview with diffuse lighting. For precise recording, for example after severe injuries, we create album overviews or panoramas using a stitching program. Staining with fluorescein is also helpful. It is not uncommon to find fine conjunctival stippling or smaller lesions that explain the patient’s complaints. In the case of anterior segment complaints, it is useful to inspect the upper tarsal conjunctiva after ectropionization. Impressive images are often provided by specular reflection, but green light can also facilitate the recognition of the surface structure.

摘要
