We see a particularly important field of application in documenting strabismus positions by extending the slit lamp’s focal plane by holding a minus lens in front of its objective. This chapter presents numerous examples from everyday strabological videography with patients of different age groups and with different forms of strabismus. Again, long-term observation, sometimes over 15 years, is an important concern. As an encouragement to engage with this special chapter of our imaging, it may serve that with slit lamp videography, even the slight adjustment movement of a microtropic eye during occlusion of the fixating eye can be visualized by a suitable selection of images. This corresponds—albeit in largely unknown application—to the original thought in the introduction of the slit lamp, namely to make the invisible visible.
