The documentation of orbital processes rarely comes without neuroradiological imaging. This equally affects bony changes as well as those of the soft tissues. The effects of diseases of the orbit are so diverse that a broadly based ophthalmological imaging is necessary for their detection: overview images, motility analyses, image documentation of the optic nerve, swinging flashlight test for an RAPD. More than usual, it is important for us to also record initially inconspicuous initial findings as a reference using videography with the slit lamp console. For the position of the corneal apex, side views are required. Especially in the case of (questionable) proptosis, we like to use the following mirror technique: A mirror is placed directly on the temple in the area of the orbital edge at a 45° angle, so that one gets an overhead view and the view from the side in one image.

摘要
