Global Elastic Constants of Wood
摘要
Global mechanical characterization of wood as an elastic anisotropic material is based on the assumption that its properties can be represented by an equivalent homogeneous anisotropic continuum. Wood is an orthotropic anisotropic material exhibiting a deviation of this theoretical model of about 5%. The anisotropic elastic behaviour of wood with ultrasonic methods must be associated with the scale of observation—global or local.
