This chapter deals with plane normal contacts of linear viscoelastic media. For the case of monotonically increasing normal load, the contact problem can be reduced to the corresponding elastic problem using the principle of Lee and Radok. We demonstrate this formalism using some classical linear viscoelastic material models.
