Reception History

In this Chapter, we want to analyze the reception of Dedekind’s work based on some important topics and people. We have already reported in Section 1.3.2 about Dedekind’s highly informative correspondence with Rudolf Lipschitz, in which a critical discussion about the Dedekind cuts took place [198]. There were also overlaps of Dedekind’s work with that of Gottlob Frege, which we have dealt with in Section 1.2.4.
