Continuity and Irrational Numbers had its first German edition in 1872 according to the publisher. The subsequent editions were: 2nd edition 1892, 3rd edition 1905, 4th edition 1912 and posthumously as reprints the 5th edition 1927, 6th edition 1960 and 7th edition 1965. All editions were published by Vieweg Verlag, the last one together with the second book.
