1925, Thesis: Matrix Mechanics

In January 1925, Wolfgang Pauli presented his greatest individual scientific achievement: the elaboration of what is now known as the Pauli Principle. Today, his name is primarily linked to this principle and every scientist knows it because this principle is a prerequisite to understand the structure of the periodic table. “On the connection between the closure of the electron groups in the atom and the complex structure of the spectra” appeared in the Zeitschrift für Physik on January 16, 1925.
