1924, Introduction: Preliminary Work
摘要
A train ride from Munich to Copenhagen: what an ordeal! Werner Heisenberg has been on the train for 20 hours and he still has not reached Copenhagen. He should have driven directly from Göttingen instead of making a detour to Munich. But it was worth it. Those beautiful August days in his parents’ garden, urgently needed after the stress of the habilitation in Göttingen. Saw some old friends again, wasted some time. What more could one desire? And he will now spend a full 7 months with the world-famous Niels Bohr. And for that, the price of the long train ride from Munich to Copenhagen will be well worth it.
