This chapter deals with the kinematics of a point in space, i.e. with the description of the motion of such a point, but without taking a look at the causes of the motion. The concepts of trajectory, velocity and acceleration are first introduced and explained for different types of spatial reference systems before the special cases of planar motions and rectilinear motions are discussed.

摘要

This chapter deals with the kinematics of a point in space, i.e. with the description of the motion of such a point, but without taking a look at the causes of the motion. The concepts of trajectory, velocity and acceleration are first introduced and explained for different types of spatial reference systems before the special cases of planar motions and rectilinear motions are discussed.
