A process protected by IBU-tec advanced materials AG is based on pulsating combustion and allows the thermo-shock-like treatment of solutions, suspensions, and solids. A targeted periodically unsteady combustion leads to a pulsating hot gas stream. From this, the materials are transported and simultaneously thermally treated. The introduction into the hot gas stream as well as the pulsation leads to unique heat and mass transfer processes, whereby materials with specific properties can be produced.
