Microplastics as an Opportunity

Special plastics are used as adsorbent materials for a large number of trace substances in waters. In contrast to a water sample taken directly on site for analysis, a plastic membrane is used that adsorbs trace substances over a longer period of time. This so-called passive collector represents the sample from which the adsorbates can finally be analyzed after extraction.
