Digitisation of the supply chain is based on using digital capabilities: They support the supply chain and help optimising the supply chain. Digital tools are used in many areas of the supply chain and support day-to-day operations and the associated planning and scheduling processes. Key tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Supply Chain Planning systems, and process execution support are introduced. Afterwards, tools for process design are introduced.
