Supply chain discussions often tend to be conflictual because stakeholders consider different aspects. In this chapter, a system view of the supply chain is presented to structure these different perspectives. The supply chain architecture is developed as a concept to design the supply chain as a system. This places the various aspects in an overall context. The architecture as a solution approach for the overall supply chain design is illustrated in various areas.
