Theories, Models and Concepts of Persistent Somatic Symptoms, Somatoform Disorders, and Somatic Symptom Disorders
摘要
In the following, the most important currently known approaches to explaining the development and maintenance of persistent somatic symptoms and somatic symptom or somatoform disorders are outlined. Knowledge of central mechanisms of development appears to be interesting not only from a theoretical perspective, but also represents a central prerequisite for successively developing and communicating differentiated (e.g., biopsychosocial) models as alternatives to a mostly monocausal medical model of symptoms in therapeutic work with patients.
