摘要

The world is changing rapidly, and so are the conditions for a healthy life. Climate change or pandemics have a tremendous impact on people’s health worldwide. Women are often particularly affected, as they are more vulnerable to environmental conditions as childbearers and mothers. How do these rapidly changing conditions affect women’s health, and what can be done to better protect women? The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to comprehensively address global challenges such as SDG 3 “Health for All” or SDG 5 “Gender Equality” with a holistic perspective. This holistic view is also the basis of the health formula described in this article, which assumes that health is only possible if the conditions from environment, biology, and behavior are enabled. The Sustainable Development Goals, together with the health formula, offer a new perspective on women’s health and possible political implications and practical improvements.
