In this chapter, we provide an overview of standards for the manufacturing industry and specifically the automotive industry that are relevant for the compliance and implementation of the previously presented legal norms. We look at established and newly developed standards that can and, in some cases, must be applied not only in the automotive industry but also across the entire manufacturing sector, including ISO/SAE 21434, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62443, and TISAX®. These standards are significant in the context of the increasing networking and automation in vehicles and the general trend towards smart factories and products, to achieve cybersecurity.
