Basics and Insights from Service Management and Health Economics

The scientific discipline of Transformative Service Research (TSR) investigates how the well-being of consumers and society can be improved through services. It aims to contribute to designing and providing services in a way that supports health and society. The field of TSR plays an important role within service research and is used alongside the psychological perspective as a discipline for the present research project. At the same time, questions of quality and efficiency of medical care of non-communicable diseases arise, which are examined from the perspective of health economics. This chapter presents the current state of research from the perspective of these scientific disciplines.
