Max Planck's Argument
摘要
Max Planck not only made a name for himself as a pioneer in theoretical physics, but also with his popular science engagement. As part of the latter, he repeatedly dealt with the problem of free will. In this chapter, we will see how the physicist defends free will. For Planck, the problem dissolves when viewed from the right perspective. And beyond the actual challenge to free will, he argued that science must be complemented by ethics to provide guidance for life.
