Darwin’s Long Shadow

Scientific progress during the last decades induces dynamic and heterarchic interpretations of evolutionary processes without any tendency to superior species—including the genus Homo. Increasing knowledge about unicellular organisms and viruses necessitate changes of classical paradigms. From the current viewpoint are processes of biological evolution dominated by unicellular organisms with supplementary contributions of multicellular organisms—plants, fungi and animals.
