Basic Principles of Surgical Treatment
摘要
The surgical treatment of most nerve compression syndromes is performed today on an outpatient basis or as part of day surgery. There are some special considerations to take into account, which have proven to be effective based on the author’s long-term experience with outpatient procedures. This applies to patient education, instrumentation, surgical procedures, and certain proven techniques, including endoscopic procedures that are also well suited for outpatient treatment. Furthermore, the basic principles of follow-up treatment and any potential complications are acknowledged, and the importance of quality assurance and guidelines is emphasized.
