The Hyperbolic Plane

In this chapter, we provide an introduction to hyperbolic geometry. In the first section, we describe the axiomatic approach to geometry and introduce the hyperbolic plane using Poincaré’s disk model. In the next section, we consider the isometries of the hyperbolic plane and gain an understanding of them.
