There is general agreement among the experts that we can expect a rise in temperatures and an increase in the number of extreme events and rise in temperatures but for other climate variables such as rainfall there is no clear prediction. However there does not seem to be any doubt that that communities coping with poverty will be particularly vulnerable—this means developing countries like Africa will be the hardest hit.
