The ancient city of Side (Greek ∑ίδη ‘pomegranate’) is located on a small peninsula of the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is one of the most notable archaeological sites of Turkey, but also famous as a vacation destination. It belongs to the ancient district of Pamphylia, where the Hittite land Tarhuntassa was situated in the Bronze age.
