The Climate Crisis: Where We Stand, What We Know

  • Dorothea Metzen,

摘要

At the Paris Climate Agreement, the majority of the world agreed to limit global warming to 1.5 °C. Today, we are already at 1.1 °C and the probability of staying below 1.5 °C is considered by scientists to be vanishingly small. The reason for this is the lack of political implementation of climate protection measures and the increasingly likely reaching of tipping points, which could irreversibly throw entire ecosystems off balance.
