(Nicht-)Markierte Körper. Beobachtungen zum Potenzial eines weiten Inklusionsbegriffes in der Kinder- und Jugendliteraturforschung

This article elaborates to what extent a broad concept of inclusion from a literary studies perspective can be more than an analysis of scenes of protonormalistic exclusion as well as aesthetic categories and motif complexes such as ‘illness’ and ‘disorder’. Taking a look at the concept of (un-)marked bodies it is trying to argue that not only scenes of exclusion but also of inclusion can be found in 19th century children’s literature and onwards and may be considered as an alternative text structure which is able to stage an experience of diversification and agency as well as an approach towards a flexible normalism. The paper therefore aims to contribute to the further formation of the field of literary disability studies.
