摘要

The aim of the first chapter is to create a secure foundation for the practical interventions that follow in the other sections. Therefore, the basics of palpation are first discussed in Chap. 1 . Factors such as the exact hand position and procedure are the focus. In general, a gentle, superficial palpation is advisable at first, which then leads into the depths. In this way, as many structures as possible can be perceived without being irritated at an early stage. No master has yet fallen from the sky, and this also applies to palpation. The often fine structural nuances only become perceptible when the sense of touch has been sufficiently and sensitively trained. For this reason, constant practice is advisable to ensure continuous improvement of one’s own skills.
