Maxwell’s Equations

Classical electromagnetic field theory is completely described by Maxwell’s equations. Consequently, one can rely on everything deduced from these equations. In this lesson, you will learn how the four Maxwell equations determine the formation and structure of electric and magnetic fields. You will see the field quantities \(\boldsymbol{D}, \boldsymbol{P}, \boldsymbol{H} \) and \(\boldsymbol{M}\) emerging from an application of Maxwell’s equations to free and bound charges. And you will be able to trace the well-known macroscopic laws of electrical engineering back to Maxwell’s equations.
