How do I Find the Right Story at the Right Time?—Unearthing Treasures
摘要
The chapter describes how therapeutic stories can be designed based on idioms that clients use. Metaphors such as “shipwreck”, “drowning in work” or “corrupt felt” can be transferred into a story to help the client solve his problem in a pictorial way. The therapist uses questions to assist the client in developing a sense of confidence and ability to act. It is not necessary to return to the client’s initial situation, but if the therapist does, the helpful experience of the client should be emphasized.
