Storytelling as a Remedy in Collectively Experienced Crises?
摘要
This chapter is about the significance of stories for society and the planet. The type of stories told influences the coexistence and self-understanding of nations and peoples. Some narratives promote cooperation and respect, while other stories spread hate and fear. Healing stories of courage, hope, and respect can counteract destructive patterns. Narratives that keep in mind the welfare of the majority and the protection of minorities, and encourage a positive approach to differences, can strengthen the community. To this end, we can share stories that inspire people to take active and powerful action and direct their gaze towards a better future.
