Behavior Therapy—Methods

  • Hans-Christian Kossak

摘要

As in the other theory chapters, this chapter is also designed to serve as an introduction for beginners and a refresher for advanced learners. Significant here is the functional behavior analysis, which identifies the causal and social conditions relevant to the problem (disease, disorder), as well as resources and factors of the environment and the organism, among other things. This is followed by the therapy goals, where the patient’s self-control belief and self-efficacy expectation are essential. The classical methods of behavior therapy and their cognitive possibilities are presented. The focus is on their specific combination forms with hypnosis, which are relevant for the theory and practice of short-term therapy for fears. They are particularly and clearly highlighted and presented in a very differentiated manner.
