Effects, Possibilities of Application, Border Areas
摘要
This chapter presents the spontaneous feedback from patients and therapists about the effects and side effects of therapy. The focus is on the author’s clear suggestions for possible modifications of the method, which resulted from his therapy experiences, such as problems with imagination, induction, and deepening. The potential limits of cognitive-behavioral hypnosis short-term therapy are also highlighted, illustrated by case examples from smoking cessation and exam anxiety. Finally, considerations are made as to the extent to which the presented short-term therapy can also be applied to other problem situations than just fears, which also require guided self-control methods, such as for lifestyle changes in obesity, diabetes, for forms of fear in schizophrenic patients, for emotion and impulse control, in learning and performance disorders, or in sports. The following reports and considerations result from practical experience.
