The Method of Psychoanalysis and its Transfer to the Field of Film

The psychoanalytic method can be applied from the consulting room to other areas. However, this involves some methodological questions that are examined in this chapter. Among them, the question of a correspondence between transference and countertransference or interpretation/meaning occupies a special place. In addition, questions about the filmic form or the contexts in which a film is received are addressed. Examples illustrate the discussion.
