Modulating Genetic Effects on Bladder Cancer Risk in an Area of Coal, Iron, and Steel Industries
摘要
For many years, genetic data have been collected in addition to personal characteristics such as smoking behavior and occupation when analyzing the causes of disease. Using these different types of data, we investigate whether the structural change in the Ruhr area is reflected in studies on urinary bladder cancer. The Ruhr area is an industrial region in the western part of Germany, which has developed from coal, iron, and steel towards low-emission industries.
